Approximately five minutes from NDP, there is a small, unassuming pizza place called Pasta Mista. It sits just off of Dulaney Valley Road, surrounded by a Smoothie King, a Starbucks and a Fresh Market. It may seem forgotten about, for it has a non-descript sign and a rather small space; however, every time I have been there it has been packed with people. Pasta Mista has some of the best pizza I have ever had, as well as a large variety of subs, pastas and calzones. Whether you want to go for an after school snack, or are having a Saturday night hang out with friends, Pasta Mista is the perfect place to go to find delicious, inexpensive food.
The authentic atmosphere of Pasta Mista adds to the overall enjoyable experiences I have had while eating there. Every worker is Italian and greets you with a huge smile and “Ciao!” The pizza selection ranges from the normal cheese, to chicken pesto, or even tortellini pizza, my personal favorite. I have never once been disappointed by the pizza I have chosen to order. I have also had the cheese steak sub and the tortellini. The tortellini is amazing, with a creamy sauce and the perfect amount of cheese. For only seven dollars, you receive a massive portion that will leave you with leftovers for quite awhile.
Seating can be a little tight at Pasta Mista, so going there at 5:30 on a week night can be difficult at times. However, the service is quick, and there is a constant flow of people coming in and out, so seating can normally be found after a short wait. My family often orders a few pizzas and brings them home, leaving us with delicious pizza to eat for the next few days. There is no delivery available, which is a little disappointing, but the drive is worth it!
So, if you are looking for an afternoon snack after school or for a hangout with friends, go to Pasta Mista, you will not regret it!
