Project Greenway 2023

Claire Jones, Staff Writer

To say NDP’s Project Greenway is one of students’ favorite assemblies of the year would be an understatement!

On Wednesday, February 15, the NDP community gathered in the auditorium to view the annual CW Project Greenway, a student run fashion show made from sustainable and recycled materials. The show is dedicated to Claire Wagonhurst ’15, a design-passionate student who passed away from adolescent melanoma during her senior year.

The show began with opening remarks from this year’s Project Greenway Managers, Meg Bowen, Ashley Jenkins, and Aanya Chawla. Claire’s Mom, Marianne Banister, shared a beautiful reflection on Claire’s story and the Claire Marie Foundation. Next, the models hit the runway! We saw looks made of newspaper, recycled tissue paper, recycled linens, and more! Then models and designers took the stage to share information about the designs. From recycled denim to Legos, we received a look into the designers’ visions and how their designs were sustainable. Finally, guest judges Ella Pritsker and Edina Hiser shared feedback with the groups.

Congratulations to all designers and models on a successful Project Greenway 2023!
