Debut of the NDP Horoscopes
November 3, 2015
Come one, come all – the crystal ball is ready to tell your future. But do you know what it all means? Today, right here, right now, I am about to give you some background so you can interpret some of my later articles. So, let’s get to it – Zodiac style.
The 12 sections of the Zodiac wheel are commonly thought to originate from the Greeks, who inherited the practice from the Mesopotamians, who got the idea from the Sumerians. Today, and in the past, it was used to determine certain characteristics of each person and is usually referred to as astrology.
The houses of the Zodiac follow the path of the sun and can be called “sun signs.” Today, I will leave you with a little bit of background information that will help you find your sign and a little bit more about what the sign is typically associated with.
Aries – The Ram (March 21st – April 19th) Patient, reliable, enthusiastic, dynamic; impulsive, impatient, short-tempered.
Taurus – The Bull (April 20th – May 20th) Reliable, loving, persistent, determined; stubborn, possessive, greedy.
Gemini – The Twins (May 21st – June 20th) Versatile, loving, lively; tense, nervous, cunning.
Cancer – The Crab (June 21st – July 22nd) Emotional, imaginative, cautious; moody, touchy, clingy.
Leo – The Lion (July 23rd – August 22nd) Generous, warmhearted, cautious; pompous, bossy, intolerant.
Virgo – The Virgin (August 23rd – September 22nd) Modest, shy, reliable; conservative, worrier, harsh.
Libra – The Scales (September 23rd – October 22nd) Romantic, charming, sociable; indecisive, gullible, flirtatious.
Scorpio – The Scorpion (October 23rd – November 21st) Determined, powerful, passionate; resentful, jealous, secretive.
Sagittarius – The Archer (November 22nd – December 21st) Optimistic, freedom-loving, honest; careless, irresponsible, restless.
Capricorn – The Goat (December 22nd – January 19th) Practical, prudent, careful; pessimistic, grudging.
Aquarius – The Water Bearer (January 20th – February 18th) Friendly, humanitarian, loyal; contrary, unpredictable, detached.
Pisces – The Fish (February 19th – March 20th) Imaginative, sensitive, unworldly; secretive, vague, easily led.
After you find your sign, you can actually take a look at what element is associated with your sign!
Water – Emotionally – Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. Use feelings to act. They react to situations. Feeling is more important than thinking.
Fire – Forcefully – Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. Use power to act. Creates their own fate.
Earth – Practically – Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn. Thinks about what is useful. References what will get the best effect with the most efficiency.
Air – Thoughtfully – Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Use their mind to make decisions. Concerned with their relationships. Think now, act later.
Overall, the zodiac can be a fun way to learn more about yourself, but don’t take it too seriously. This should be a light-hearted exploration of yourself, by way of the stars. 🙂
