With two unexpected snow days and a Christmas break that rapidly approaches, you may be wondering how you can pass your free time (when you’re not doing homework that is). Besides Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, and Snapchat, could there be something more for you to do?
Here are some tried and true winter boredom busters that are sure to put you in the holiday spirit. And who knows, it may even bring out your inner child.
- Christmas Movies are a MUST; check out some classics like Rudolph, Frosty, and the Grinch or tune in to Hallmark channel for some other holiday flicks
- Paper Snowflakes- if you’re looking for any easy but cute craft to spruce up your home, try making paper snowflakes! Simple directions can be found on-line, but they are a ton of fun too.
- Sledding/Snowball Fights/Snowmen- these activities are perfect for snowy days. Just be sure to bundle up!
- Spa Day- everyone needs a little pampering, especially after a busy week at school. Try a warm shower or bath, and give yourself a mani/pedi. Bonus points if you can make your nails winter-themed!
- Baking- we all know that the holidays wouldn’t be complete without some tasty treats! So try out a new recipe, or maybe even get together with Grandma to make her favorites.
- Christmas Caroling- this could be a perfect activity to do with friends on a nice evening; gather your group and hit the neighborhood to spread some Christmas cheer. Afterwards, you can meet back for hot chocolate and maybe some tasty cookies.
Certainly there are more things you can do during your free time on the holidays, but hopefully, this list got you started! Enjoy!
