NDP Field Hockey Update

NDP field hockey off to a blazing hot start.

Field hockey season at NDP looks different this year, but the girls play on. On Sept. 28, the Blazers white team won 2-0 against North Harford, and on Sept. 29, the Blazers navy team played against Dulaney High School, winning 3-1. The field hockey team can’t have their traditional season because of COVID-19, so they are participating in a Harford County league. Games are Monday nights for the white team and Tuesdays and Thursdays for the navy team. NDP plays against Harford County public schools, Baltimore County public schools, and a variety of private schools.

Despite only having a couple of practices, both field hockey teams have played well together, bonding and supporting each other both on and off the field. The teams split up into groups to run the Blazer Dash this year, which allowed them to have fun and keep socially distant. The Blazers are looking forward to the rest of a strange, but what we hope will be great, season!
