Blazer Badminton is coming in strong this year!  With four senior captains, Gabby Beese, Mary Claire Hudak, Meredith Good and Anna Markovitz, the team is looking intensely focused and highly competitive.  After two scrimmages, one against Friends and one against Maryvale, the team is feeling confident in their smashes, drops and clears.  They have high soaring hopes that they will be able to bring home another championship.  It was disappointing losing to Roland Park last season, but the trophy is sure to make a return this year.  Previously, NDP has won in 2011 and 2012 and is looking for a comeback win this Spring.  That means, hard practices full of drills and mock matches to get the girls trained to perfection.  After all, playing in Division I puts them against some good competition, and it is going to take all that they have to grab that trophy.

New this year is the Blazers Badminton Instagram and Twitter.  The team is branching out on Social Media in hopes that they will gain followers and fans simultaneously.  It always feels good to have strong home team support, and badminton matches are no exception.  They are fast paced, highly entertaining and comfortably occur in the beautiful New Gym.  There are always six matches occuring at once, so there is never a dull momen! Rememer to come and cheer your Blazers to victory and to the trophy!
