On March 22, 2024, Coffeehouse was a night filled with talent, coffee, sweet treats, and some very special guests! The annual tradition of showcasing the various talents that our NDP community has to offer left the audience in amazement. Not only does this tradition provide a fun opportunity to connect with your peers and watch some great performances, but it also benefits the Thirst Project that provides access to clean water to over 550,000 people in 13 countries!
The three sets of the night were full of talent from phenomenal instrumentalists to amazing singers. Kate Wiley ’24 performed a beautiful rendition of “Haunted” by Taylor Swift on piano and voice. Sophomore duo Katelyn Marshall ‘26 and Abby Pellechia ‘26 performed “Fast Car” by Tracy Chapman on voice and electric guitar. Claire Schafer ’24 and Abby Bilenki ’25 put on a magnificent performance of “Run” by Taylor Swift. A beautiful performance on the recorders by seniors Maggie Back ’24 and Aanya Chawla ’24 truly charmed the crowd. The Ukeladies put on a great melody closing out Coffeehouse 2024 with “Count On Me” by Bruno Mars. These are just a few of the extraordinary performances put on by members of our NDP sisters! However, the talent at NDP extends beyond just students but to our very own special guests! Who better to start off our special guest sets than with NDP’s very own piano man? Dr. Pellechia sang some NDP-inspired lyrics to the tune of Piano Man by Billy Joel while Mr. Smith played along on the piano. For the second set of special guests, the audience got to experience the show stopping talent of Mr. and Mrs. Potter as they performed “Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better).” The combination of their gorgeous voices and performance skills proved to be an astonishing act that wowed the entire crowd.
Whether you came for the amazing performances, the endless amounts of coffee in your mug, or the sweet treats, Coffeehouse 2024 was a night filled with joy!
