Why 6th Grade is So Special
August 20, 2015
When you finish 5th grade, everything changes. From the day you get accepted to your new school, to the first day of school, excitement is running through your body. There are so many new people and new friends to make. I am telling you the positives, but now you need to hear the negatives. You will carry about 50 pounds of books, about one million pens and pencils, and seven binders. You go from having four to five pages of homework, to about ten pages every night. You even get homework over SUMMER! An important thing to know is that homeroom is called advisory. You do not even have RECESS. When you are in elementary school, all you want to do is grow up. Being in middle school is a lot of responsibility, but you will get the hang of it in the school year, and trust me, I have heard it does not get easier as you get older. Sixth grade is so special, because it shows you are getting older.
