Once the voices of Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra,
Nat “King” Cole, Dean Martin, and countless other acclaimed artists are heard
crooning classic Christmas songs, every person is aware that the long-awaited
Christmas season has arrived. These artists sing songs that have the ability
to send chills down one’s spine due to each artist’s rich, clean voice that leaves
lasting impressions. Even though most of the artists who belt these Christmas ballads are long gone, their legacy of putting any soul into the Christmas spirit is timeless. When the first few notes of the classics play, memories of childhood and Christmas gaiety fill each mind and leaves each person with a smile of nostalgia left on his or her face. The Christmas music we all know and love is pure and simple, but still absolutely legendary. Although, modern music puts all into a
Christmas mood, as well, every person, from the young to the old, tends to
gravitate back to the timeless yuletide tunes of the 30s, 40s, and 50s. These songs seem to encapsulate everything about Christmas and remind us of past times. It’s almost unbelievable how influential music can be, and the lasting impressions it can leave. Christmas
music of the past still influences many of today’s popular artists. The genuine
simplicity of these classic Christmas songs still draws in the young and the old
due to each song’s timeless and undefined charm that will, without a doubt, be
carried throughout generations.
