NDP’s theater performed The Secret Garden this past weekend. There were three thrilling performances, led by Maddy Laudeman and Meghan Cain, both of whose amazing voices and charming personalities filled the entire auditorium with an intriguing and emotional air throughout the entire length of the play. The on-stage action was great, but the real magic behind this show was the tight-knit family backstage. Many tears were shed as each of the seniors gave her speech for her final musical, each telling her story of how her theater career came to be. By Sunday, there was not a dry eye in the room as they recounted their memories of each show they had done in the past four years. On a bit of a lighter note, the shows themselves went almost perfectly, when we could all manage to stand laughing and joking around backstage. (Shoutout to the stage crew for being fabulous, by the way.) This show was truly an unforgettable one, and the cast and crew are looking forward to all the shows to come!
