What’s better than Earth Day? Earth Week! This coming week, NDP will be celebrating Earth Week. Earth week will take place from Monday, March 24th to Friday, March 28th. The environmental club members will be making announcements every morning of the week to get everyone in the Earth Week spirit! There will be an environmental theme every day, and different daily activities to get everyone involved as well. On the way to lunch, make sure you check out the informative displays in the foyer to find out some interesting facts about our earth. Thanks to the environmental club’s hard work, this week is sure to be a success!
Here are some of the activities planned for Earth Week:
Blackout Day: On Blackout Day, NDP students, faculty and staff are encouraged to reduce energy usage.
No-Waste Wednesday: On Wednesday, everyone will be encouraged to cut down on their waste by bringing reusable containers for lunch.
Fun Friday: There are many fun activities scheduled for Friday!
Morning Electronics Recycling: The morning electronics recycling event will take place on Friday, May 2nd from 7-9 am in the lower level parking lot. Everyone is encouraged to recycle any electronic devices, such as old computers, printers, TVs, microwaves, or cell phones.

Benjamin Franklin was a Founding Father, an inventor, and a journalist. Franklin printed The Pennsylvania Gazette, and he also wrote many famous articles which were included in the paper. His paper covered a wide variety of topics, some being heath care, business, religion, and virtue. The Pennsylvania Gazette is known as the New York Times of the 18th century.
