Everyone is wondering how Mr. Loya got to NDP and where he is going after he leaves. Well, I have the answer. One day, Mr. Loya was enjoying his peaceful life when he had a great idea to go skydiving. He decided to book a skydiving experience. When the day arrived, he was excited. Mr. Loya put on his parachute and got on the plane. The plane ride was extremely long for the experience. Mr. Loya questioned why it was taking so long, and the instructor said it was because the captain was making brownies. Mr. Loya freaked out and decided to jump out of the plane. In doing so, he fell quickly and then deployed his parachute. He was going so fast that by the time he released his parachute, he was only a couple hundred feet away from the top of the Eiffel Tower. When he landed on the Eiffel Tower, his parachute was still open. Mr. Loya looked up and saw a flying cow. The flying cow flew so close to Mr. Loya that the cow’s foot got caught in the parachute and took Mr. Loya all the way to NDP. He ended up landing in the biology room right on top of our biology teacher. The entire class was so startled they did not answer any of his questions. After Mr. Loya landed on our biology teacher she was taken away by ambulance and he became our sub. Everyone’s first question was “Is our biology teacher coming back?” Mr. Loya did not know so he decided to do a lab for him to get to know us. When Mr. Loya was setting up the lab he got oil in his shoe. While we were doing the lab he was cleaning off his shoes. Classmates thought this was strange because he was more focused on his shoe than on our lab. The next day he came in with new shoes, but he did not look at the ones he picked that morning because when he came in, they were clown shoes. People started to laugh, in embarrassment he took his water bottle and filled it up. When he came back his water was filled, and his shoes were gone. Somehow Mr. Loya found another pair of shoes lying around at school. A few more classes went by, and we finally got an update on our biology teacher. She was planning to come back sometime in March. We were all so excited that our teacher was coming back, but that led to the question “Where is Mr. Loya going after our bio teacher comes back?”
If you are a freshman taking biology this year, you probably know about Mr. Loya- the long-term substitute for Mrs. Colburn. But what you might not know are the crazy events that led Mr. Loya to taking this job… and where he is going next.
Before becoming a sub at NDP, Mr. Loya had been across the Atlantic Ocean in Paris, France. While on his vacation travelling the world. Mr. Loya had booked a skydiving experience that took him across the famous Notre-Dame Cathedral.
While he rapidly fell towards the ground, Mr. Loya’s breathe was taken away by both the cathedral and his extreme fear of heights. Because of this, he nearly forgot to pull the cord and only at the very last moment did he save himself from severe injury.
When he returned to America, Mr. Loya could not stop thinking about his near-death experience, so when he saw a hiring for a substitute teacher position at NDP, he could not help but investigate it further. He said it seemed to him like a sign from above, and he knew that he would regret it for the rest of his life if he did not at least try.
Luckily, Mr. Loya already had experience in teaching and knew a good deal about science. Much to his delight, a few days later he had been sent an email welcoming him into the NDP community.
The few short months he spent here passed quickly, however, and with Mrs. Colburn’s return Mr. Loya knew he had to find a place to go after he stopped teaching.
It was during a lab one class that Mr. Loya figured out where he wanted to go next. After an unfortunate iodine spill, Mr. Loya was forced to dispose of one of his favorite shirts.
On his way to the trashcan however, something caught his eye. A scrap piece of blue ribbon from an admissions event. This fleeting glance turned a light bulb on inside his brain, and instead of throwing his shirt away, Mr. Loya picked up the piece of fabric and brought it home with him.
That night he labored over his ruined shirt, and after many sleepless hours he had created an entirely new garment, one that rivaled the designs of Gucci and Louis Vuitton.
Proud of his accomplishment, he posted a photo of it to his social media, where a designer just so happened to click on the next day. Immediately the designer reached out, asking “How in the world did you come up with this stuff?” Mr. Loya said, “Well it’s all because of my amazing students and the lab I had them do.” The designer was laughing so hard that he said, since you are so funny “You’re hired.”
Mr. Loya was stunned because he was not really looking for a job since he had his at NDP until he remembered that Mrs. Colburn was coming back. He thought of his options and decided to take the job. He started the next day. When Mr. Loya did not show up at school all the kids were confused but some forgot because they were so happy that Mrs. Colburn was coming back. The first thing a kid said to Mrs. Colburn when she came back was “Can you reteach Unit 5-7?” Mrs. Colburn started to chuckle and agreed.
Later that day people were checking Mr. Loya’s social media and found him making some new clothes. People questioned whether the clothes were in style or not. Most agreed that they were not until one day they saw Kim Kardashian wearing his clothes. In doing so sales went up like there was no tomorrow. Mr. Loya was making bank and living his best life.
So, there you have it, that is where Mr. Loya is going after leaving NDP. It might be seen as a shock, but Mr. Loya loves color and fashion, so his new job is perfect for him. In the end, Mr. Loya became a billionaire, and Mrs. Colburn came back happy to be teaching a class she loved. The class of 28.
