The Ukuladies
November 21, 2014
If you have ever been around the school Tuesday at lunch and hear the tropical tunes in the hallway, you are probably hearing the Ukulele Club, more commonly know as the Ukuladies. Founded by Julia Habiger and Hannah Schiavone, this club is a new addition to the school. “The club is mostly beginners,” says founder Julia Habiger. “Hannah and I and a couple of other girls teach the rest of the club. It’s a real great time.” But the Ukulele Club doesn’t just play sick jams. Their purpose is to combine music and service and bring people together. The Club plans to do service, like going around to nursing homes around the area and playing music for their residents. So if you ever want to learn an instrument, do some service, and have a great time, then the Ukulele Club is the place for you.
